Caring for Your MDF Board
As MDF is not water resistant, it’s crucial to seal your board before applying tiles. A cost effective way to do this is by mixing equal parts of water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and applying it to all surfaces, including the edges and back.
Once your mosaic is finished and grouted, I recommend painting the sides and back with several layers of paint to prevent moisture from affecting the board. To preserve the longevity of your mosaic, seal the mosaic surface with a quality grout sealer.
