What Base can i use to Mosaic onto
The list is endless!
A couple of things to consider when choosing your base to mosaic onto, is it a clean flat rigid surface? and what will be the purpose of it eg Interior/Exterior.
This
will help to determine what glue you will need.
Ideas of some things to mosaic onto:
- Glass wine bottles
- Terracotta saucers
- Wooden frames
- Window Panes
- Pots
- Strangely enough Hubcaps
- Ceramic or stone statues
- Concrete Pavers
- MDF (Interior)
- Fibro Sheeting
- Marine Ply
- Acrylic
We have an extensive range of MDF bases which we consider to be great, however these need to be sealed before and after mosaic has been applied and really for interior or because we have our bases laser cut it does provide a little protection on the edges so we do have our ones on the porch but undercover no exposure to rain, but these have been sealed and a couple of layers of exterior paint are applied to the underside.
