Caring for Your MDF Board
MDF is not moisture resistant, so it is essential to seal the board before applying tiles. A simple and cost effective way to do this is by mixing equal parts water and PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) to apply to the surfaces, including the edges and back.
Once your mosaic is completed and grouted, consider painting the sides and back of the board with a couple of coats of paint to prevent moisture infiltration. To increase the longevity of your mosaic, it’s recommended to seal the mosaic surface with a high quality grout sealer.
